The Jim McLean Golf School in conjunction with the Ambassadors of Mercy, were proud to host the Mercy Hospital Kick-Off Party on April 16. Over 60 people enjoyed a golf clinic and BBQ while preparing for the 18th Annual Mercy Golf Classic, May 30th at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa. Participants were introduced to Jim McLean's system of teaching, from long irons, to drivers and the short game. The Kick-Off party was a huge success with several sponsors committing to the Golf Classic. Only a few foursomes remain available. NEW SUMMER DAY CAMP UNVEILED
The Jim McLean Golf School is presenting a brand new Summer Jr. Day Camp for children 5-14 years old. Master Instructor Julio Nutt will oversee and be hands on for your child's instruction. This summer lunch is included every day of the camp. Camps begin the week of June 16th and runs for eight consecutive weeks. Each camp is Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm. Kids are encouraged to attend more than one week. They'll learn golf, make great friends and even get some pool time at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa. JIM MCLEAN TOURNEY CHAMPS
Besides being some of the best instructors in the country, Jim McLean's instructors can flat out play. Alan Fort defeated Andres Rodriguez in the Match Play Competition. Over 30 instructors and assistants participated. Despite hitting a Hole-In-One on the 15th hole of the Blue Monster, Scott Reilly couldn't overcome Eric Lillibridge in the Assistants Tournament. Reilly still came away with the distinguished Jackie Burke Jr. Award as the top assistant of the season. Reilly came up just short again in the Jim McLean Shootout when Director of Instruction Chris Toulson chipped in on the 9th hole of the Great White.
