Bryan Lebedevitch - Director of Instruction PGA West
Bryan has been with the Jim McLean Golf Schools since 1996. He began working for Jim at his Doral location. He acted as Jim McLean's personal assistant for a full year and has since moved to La Quinta where he is Director of Instruction at PGA WEST, and a Premium Lead Master Instructor.
Bryan played four years of Division I golf at Loyola College in Maryland. Before coming to work for Jim McLean, Bryan worked at the prestigious Caves Valley Golf Club for Dennis Satyshur.
Bryan has worked with many talented players: Len Mattiace - PGA Tour, Tom Purtzer - Champions Tour, Scott Hebert - 5 time Michigan Open Champion, Buy.com, and Hooter's Tour Player, Dave Schreyer - 2003 Hooter's Tour Multiple winner,(including Tour Championship Victory) Co-Player of the Year Honors, former PGA Tour Player, and Bobby Elliott - 2003 Gateway Tour Winner., Cristie Kerr, LPGA top player.
He has spent substantial time observing and working with many top 100 teachers including Jim McLean, Carl Welty, Jerry Mowlds, and Ken Venturi.
In addition to his teaching, Bryan helped to develop the Jim McLean Golf School at Grand Traverse Resort Michigan, working closely with fellow instructor John Webster. He was also instrumental in developing the La Quinta Resort and Club location. He is a full time resident of the La Quinta community and is available year round for instruction.
Bryan prides himself in customizing each program to the specific needs of the individual and enjoys working with players of all ability levels.
Bryan has been nominated three times for Golf Magazine's Top 100 list and has been named to the Golf Digest list of best teachers in the state of California. Currently, Bryan is working a lot with Cristie Kerr. She has finished in the top 5 on the money list for the past couple of years. They have 6 wins since they started back working toghether. They first worked together when she was an amatuer and then took some time apart as Bryan moved from Miami to La quinta. Bryan also work with Mhairi McKay. A former member of the European Solheim Cup Team. They have been working together for the past couple of years. He also has a number of talented juniors that he works with. Dustin and Nicole Zhang are two of them. They are from Calgary. Dustin is going to Notre Dame on a full scholarship and Nicole is in high school.
Bryan gives around 900 private lessons a year. This actually takes place in about 8 months as the summers are very hot. During the summer Bryan travels to at least 10 Lpga events and do corporate outings at different venues.
