The National Governors' Convention is scheduled for the summer of 2007 at the resort. This is a tremendous function for Northern Michigan and the hotel. The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa built its original banquet hall, the Governors Hall, for the first convention held there in 1986. The recent 11 million dollar renovation to the resort will put it as one of the top resorts in the Midwest.

Futures Tour Players Jin Kim and Oem Ji Park played well in last weeks event in West Virginia. Both students of Jason Jenkins, they have worked on their games at both the Michigan and California locations. Congratulations to both!

Jason Jenkins was nominated for the GOLF Magazine's Top 100 Teacher's list for the seventh time since its inception in 1997. Jason may be recognized as the youngest contributor to the magazine at the age of 24, with two articles in the 1997 season. Jason was recognized in 2005 as a Top Teacher in the Southwest Region.

Oem Ji Park and Jin Kim recently left the McLean School in Michigan after two weeks training in preparation for the Futures Tour. Oem Ji finished twelfth after having missed the cut in the previous seven tournaments. Her rounds of 73-76-71 were a collection of the best rounds she has put together this season. Congratulations to Oem Ji!

Natalie Matuszak, a longtime student of Lead Instructor Jason Jenkins, finished in the top five individually at the Michigan State Highschool girls tournament shooting 78 and 76. Natalie is only a sophomore and one of the top juniors in the state.

Hyung Tae Kim is in the top ten Order of Merit for the Korean PGA this spring. Hyung Tae worked with Jason in California at the PGAWest facility. Continue the great play Hyung Tae!
