The 8 Step Swing is unique in that we teach by using "Corridors" or ranges in the swing not a method or strict positions. We teach total game from short game to on course instruction which is the centered from Jim's 25% Theory.

Back9Fitness created Jim McLean's Competitive EDGE Golf Specific Fitness Center. Jeff Banaszak, PT, CSCS, founder of Back9Fitness, travels on the PGA Tour and works with several tour professionals such as Jason Gore and Stewart Cink. The staff here is second to none and can get your body to perform at peak levels, maintain a competitive edge among your golf peers and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.
GolfBiodynamics
The Jim McLean Golf Center has the only golf biomechanics lab in the DFW metroplex. GolfBiodynamics is our 3D computerized swing analysis system that measures what your body does in the golf swing. Find out what your X-Factor is and how to increase power and use your body efficiently. The biofeedback auditory tone can accelerate learning of new motor patterns by letting you know (toning) when you've done it correctly.
Full Swing Golf Simulator
The Jim McLean Golf Center has a Full Swing Golf Simulator for use to play one of 50 courses like St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, or Bay Hill. The Simulator also has a practice option where you can hit balls on a driving range, hit shots from different yardages, or work on your short game. It will give you exact data on how far the ball flies, launch angle, ball speed, and will show dispersion of shots. It is great for inclement weather and fun to play with your friends and family.

See how the tour players get fitted for all clubs. We use state of the art technology to fit clubs specifically for you. We do driver, irons, wedges, putter, and ball fittings. Practice Range and Legends Scoring Nine
The Range has been totally redesigned by the Tom Fazio design team and Jim McLean. It will feature six beautiful target greens and strategically situated trees. The range tee stretches 160 yards across. Andy Banfield who has been with Tom Fazio for over 20 years has contributed many great ides that were implemented by the original construction team at the Links at Waterchase. This team led by Don Henderson of Land Constructors has created one of the most well thought out ranges anywhere in America.
The Fazio team and Jim McLean created a highly imaginative design for this unique practice facility. Although there are 9 par three's measuring 1,522 yards, the idea was not to build a par 3 golf course. The idea was a true practice course. Jim and Tom Fazio talked at length about intersecting holes, back and forth fairways and a central practice fairway. They created four basic driving zones separated by water hazards or mounding. This allows on course playing lessons that include drivers being hit in different directions to very different fairway designs. The student will face almost any situation. From the central practice fairway iron shots can be played to 7 different greens. The instructors at the McLean School can also use the Links at Waterchase standing adjacent to the practice course. The Links at Waterchase measures 7,300 yards from the championship tees and has hosted two Texas Opens. In the 22.5 acres Fazio and McLean designed a practice dream for any golfer wanting real life situations. The Legends Course got its name because each hole is named after a different golf legend individually chosen by Jim McLean.
