Ji has taught the Jim McLean System since 1995, beginning at Doral Golf Resort and Spa. He has taught at the prestigious Oak Hill Country Club as Director of Instruction for the Harmon School of Golf, where he worked alongside Craig Harmon and Butch Harmon during Butch's tenure with Tiger Woods. Ji also served as Director of Instruction at Whistling Straits, site of the 2021 Ryder Cup and multiple PGA Championships. Additionally, he spent time teaching at Hank Haney's Ranch in Texas and continues to coach tour professionals and top-ranked junior golfers.
Having taught more than 60,000 golf lessons at all levels, Ji has been elected as a top state instructor and nominated among the Top 50 Best Instructors by Golf Digest and the 100 Best by Golf Magazine. He has been fortunate to share his insights on the NBC Golf Channel, including guest appearances during major events such as the British Open at St. Andrews and the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, where he was coined the "Doctor of Golf."
