taylor crosby - master instructor


Originally from Athens, GA, Taylor played on the University of Georgia Golf Team where he was a two-year Letterman. While at UGA, Taylor played alongside PGA Tour players: Kevin Kisner, Chris Kirk, Brendon Todd, and Richard Scott. He then transferred to North Carolina State University to finish out his collegiate career. Taylor's best finish in college was a T-1st at the Cavalier Classic in 2005, while at N.C. State.

Taylor earned his Bachelor's Degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia.

Taylor played the eGolf and NGA Tours in 2009 and 2010, then turned his focus to caddying. He caddied on the Web.com Tour in 2010 and 2011, where he learned valuable knowledge about Course Management and the mental aspects of competitive golf.

While playing competitively in college and professionally, Taylor had the opportunity to work with top 100 instructors: Mike Shannon, Tom Ness, and George Kelnhofer.

Since joining the Jim McLean Staff in the fall of 2011, Taylor has had the opportunity to watch lessons and learn from Jim McLean during his Golf Schools at the JMGC-Texas location. Taylor has also worked with “Top 40 under 40” and Jim McLean Lead Master Instructor Joey Wuertemberger. As well as observing “Top 50” Golf Range and Lead Master Instructor Justin Poynter. Taylor has also assisted in many lessons with PGA Tour players JJ Henry, Hunter Haas, and Ed Loar.

Now Taylor wants to share the knowledge he has gained to help golfers of every skill level, from beginner to touring professional, reach their full potential. Taylor has extensive knowledge of TrackMan and the SAM PuttLab. Through Video Instruction as well as On-Course Instruction he can help guide you to your peak performance.
